University Project.
OBJECTIVE
This project was developed to demonstrate advanced techniques in modelling and rigging, showcasing my ability to create highly detailed and functionally complex robotic animations.
TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGIES
Robot was Meddled, Shaded, Rigged, Animated and Render in Autodesk Maya. Adobe Premier was used to colour grade and final edit.
PROCESS AND CHALANGES
Process began with detailed research and references before moved into 3D modelling.
One of the main challenges was to ensure that all joints and gears are moving without clipping while maintaining a realistic range of motion. Achieving smooth, synchronized animations in the rigging phase required multiple adjustments and testing.
OUTCOME AND LEARNINGS
Final animation displays the robot performing a series of tasks, demonstrating both the functionality and the aesthetic appeal of the design. This project enhanced my proficiency in Maya’s modeling and animation tools and gave me deeper insights into mechanical animation dynamics.
